| Effective Risk Management In a recent presentation on Risk Management, Ian McPhee, Auditor General for Australia, made some interesting observations on risk management as a discipline. Ian McPhee noted that although the influence of risk management as a discipline has been increasing over the last two decades, and there are well accepted standards published by the International Standards Organisation on the technical approach to managing risks, the issue is not generally the technical understanding of risk management that needs more work, but embedding risk management into our organisations.
