IT Strategy

Flavour Solutions have been engaged to develop an IT Strategy for a SME in Canberra. A major player in the spatial data world, the SME requires key alignment for its future business strategies with its supporting IT capabilities to ensure that it continues to deliver leading edge spatial solutions.

Transformation Project

One of Flavour Solutions consultants has been engaged to work as part of an overall ERP implementation team to ensure the business transformation activities that are required are identified and implemented to ensure a value driven ERP implementation.

Workshop Development

Flavour Solutions have been engaged to develop a – Managing Consultants Workshop – by a Canberra based Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Subject to agreements with the RTO, Flavour Solutions will be pleased to offer the workshop to clients within the coming months.

Infrastructure Initiative

Flavour Solutions were engaged to work as part of the SMEC team, contracted by AusAID, to develop and implement a Risk Management Plan and Framework, based on the Australian Standards, for the Indonesian Infrastructure Initiative (IndII) Facility in Jakarta. The plan provided a view of the risks faced by the facility overall and at the various process stages of the activities that are to be undertaken.

Project Review

Flavour Solutions were engaged to conduct a review of a $12m business/software development project with emphasis on the ongoing budget and the benefits likely to be derived from the project. Completion of the review provided an approach to “timebox” the deliverables with associated savings and a clearer understanding of the benefits associated with the deliverables.

Outsourcing Transition Plan

Flavour Solutions have been engaged to manage the transition of a regional IT environment to a 3rd party External Service Provider (ESP). Consisting of several hundred regional sites the proposed plan will provide a phased approach to the transition and involve significant contractual and service delivery skills to enable a successful transition.

Continuous Improvement Plan

Flavour Solutions were engaged to develop a Continuous Improvement Framework and Plan to support the ongoing implementation of an ERP solution. The framework was developed to include all aspects of changes/improvements across the areas impacting/supporting the delivery of the enterprise business processes and supporting systems.

Infrastructure Transition

Flavour Solutions were engaged by IBM To assist as part of a Transition team in the transition of a Government Agencies’ infrastructure environment from another 3rd party external service provider to IBM’s computing facilities. Working to a tight timeframe, Flavour’s role included the development and execution of plans to ‘lift and shift’ production servers from one environment to the other.

Risk Management Plan and Framework Development

Flavour Solutions were engaged to work as part of the SMEC team, contracted by AusAID, to develop and implement a Risk Management Plan and Framework, based on the Australian Standards, for the overall Transport Sector Support Program (http://www.pngtssp.com/) in Port Moresby. The plan provided a view of the risks faced by the program and the framework, which included the processes and procedures to run project risk workshops, provided an avenue for updating the plan and for individual Technical Advisors associated with the key agencies to conduct risk workshops if and when required.

Website Portal & Content Management System

Flavour Solutions have been engaged to develop the tunecharts.com brand and deliver a new website portal complete with full content management system. Tunecharts.com is one of the worlds leading music trivia sites containing a comprehensive database of music charts from 1940-2006. The site attracts over 12,000 visitors a day. The portal will be delivered using .NET and SQL 2005.

Maturing IT Group Balanced Scorecard

Flavour Solutions have been contracted to work with the Performance reporting team in the CIO Group, Department of Defence, to mature the Balanced Scorecard based performance reporting program. A framework is being developed to help identify the gaps between a ‘typical’ BSC implementation and that as implemented, to enable management to progress the required changes. This the project will also involve establishing links between the other best practice key initiatives around CoBIT and ITIL.

Risk Management Framework Development

Flavour Solutions have been engaged to work as part of the SMEC team, contracted by the Department of Public Works in Malaysia, to develop and implement a Risk Management framework, based on the Australian Standards. The framework will include the processes and procedures to run project risk workshops and links to the project management certification process, developed as part of the overall consultancy.

Brand, Design & Product Development

Flavour Solutions have been appointed a business partner by a leading UK media company in the development of a new photography retail product. Flavour Solutions will work in collaboration with one other stakeholder to both develop the product, from an initial concept, through to full-scale product development, and then outsource the production to overseas production specialists. Flavour Solutions will develop the brand and the product and then produce a full retail strategy for bringing it to market. Flavour Solutions will also manage the issuing of world-wide patents and trademarks.
